The seventh series of resident evil survival horror games was released on March 2009 and in Japan, Europe and North America. Resident evil 5 also has pseudonym as Biohazard 5 in Japan. This survival horror third-person shooter video game was developed and launched by Capcom. Unlike its other predecessor, this game takes place in a fictional town in Africa where Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar as the main characters, investigate a terrorist threat. This game needed up to US$19.3M for development cost.

For game features, like Resident Evil 4 In this game, the player can control either Sheva Alomar or Chris Redfield with the same over shoulder perspective. In Resident Evil 5 there is uncommon enemies, the game’s humanoid enemies are called “Majini” instead of zombies. Majini means evil spirit in African local language. This game also has multi-player mode with using online elements. In a co-operative online mode, its main story can be played with two players. This feature also will allow players to enter and leave the game anytime.

Resident Evil can be said has similar atmosphere to the film Black Hawk Down which also takes place in Africa, specifically Somalia. Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar, the member of BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance) are sent to investigate BOW (Bio Organic Weapon) threat in Kijuju. The antagonist characters in this game include Ozwell E. Spencer, the founder of Umbrella Corp., Excella Gionne, a relative of the founder of Tricell Pharmaceutical, and Also Albert Wesker, a returning character from the previous series.

On September 2009, the windows version of Resident Evil 5 was released. With multi-player mode like the console version, this version has system requirements as bellow:

Like the previous series, Resident Evil 5 brings intense combat, unlock-able features plus stunning graphics. But if you are a big fan of the Resident Evil series, this game will be a little disappointing for you, because in this episode we'll lose the atmosphere of the classic Resident Evil. Its puzzles also seems so easy to solve, we do not will encounter major obstacles.

If the Resident Evil 4, set the location in Spain, this time the game moving to the desert regions of Africa. Once again we will play as Chris Redfield who will be assisted by Sheva Alomar the agent Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. This time we can play the game cooperatively with full element plus new tactics, as well as any additional terms of the inventory system & better weapons. For control system, does not change significantly from the previous series, if you are already accustomed to playing the Resident Evil series will not be experiencing difficulty in playing this game.

Available for Xbox 360 and PS3 console and also has windows version, Resident Evil 5 is a third person shooter game that is very suitable to be played together with friends than if you play in single player mode, unless you are accustomed to playing the game using the cheat code.
