Dragonvale Sun Dragon Breeding Guide
I've just written a guide about how to get Dragonvale Moon Dragon, and now I want to share to you Dragonvale Sun Dragon breeding guide. Please remember, breeding will get a random result. But, you can follow this guide to get a higher possibility to get a Sun Dragon because some people have tried this guide and succeed.
Dragonvale Sun Dragon Breeding Guide
As you can see on the pics above, if you want to get a Sun Dragon you have to combine:
- SONIC + Storm Dragon = Sun Dragon
- FIRE + Storm Dragon = Sun Dragon
- BLUE FIRE + Storm Dragon = Sun Dragon
- BLUE FIRE + CRYSTAL = Sun Dragon

If you have another combination and succeed breeding a Dragonvale Sun Dragon, feel free to share the combination in the comment box below. I'll update the combinations list and credit to your name if it's worked!
You can try one of 4 combinations above to get a Sun Dragon. Maybe you confuse because I wrote BLUE FIRE + CRYSTAL = Sun Dragon meanwhile in the previous guide I wrote if the combination of BLUE FIRE + CRYSTAL = Moon Dragon. Blue fire and storm both level ten, at exactly 1pm!! I've tried so many combinations and this one finally worked!!! I was about to give up lol
I just bred a lightning dragon with an earth dragon And it said the egg will be their in a day wonder if that's one way. Ill text back once it hatches

I tried to get a rainbow by breeding willow + storm but got a sun egg :)
Actually the level was 18.
I tried rainbow and rainbow at 12:03 pm for a test and got moon. Then tried it at 12:07 and got sun( I'm level 18 and my rainbows were 10)
I got lucky and bred my lightning and cold for the first time and ended up with a sun dragon. Lightning
LV 9, cold LV 8.
Just to let yu all know. The sun and moon dragon have to be bred at certain times of the day. My first try for moon was at 1:47 am with bluefire and crystal(that order). And my first time trying for sun was at 7 am with blue fire and crystal. It diesnt matter what level they are as lon as they are over level four( breeding age) and it doesnt matter what level you are. You could be level 5 and get these awesome rare dragons. I have sun moon and rainbow. And inwill be dedicated to getting two more of each. Friend me at rowdydragons. If you dont believe
Ok. So inkinda messed up.... Please forgive me.
But anywho this is how its done
For those of you who dot know. Moon, sun, and rainbow can only be bred by the same dragon. Ie. rainbow and rainbow. Not rainbow and moon does not work.
As for getting rainbow firefly and storm works best.
Moon blue fire and crystal at 2 am
Sun is fire and storm at 7 am.
I know this because i have these. And for anyone who says they can breed rainbow and moon or moon and sun or sun and rainbow. STOP LYING YOU STUPID PEOPLE. Rare dragons can only breed with the same breed and nothing else. Such as. Sun and sun. Moon and moon. Rainbow and rainbow. Nothing else can be bred with rainbow moon or sun but the respective race of that dragon. Get a life and stop giving false hope.

See for me however I bread a blue fire then crystal at 1:05 pm and I tried this twice and still nothing!
I tryed storm and fire I got a scorch dragon that combination dos not work trust me I know th it dosnt XD
Can you breed sun with moon dragon? It is said you need speciel conditions, maybe the mean you have to breed them on the epic breeding island. I'm going to find out all i need is the moon dragon and I will soon brief you with my results. If you support my work please add daniel.panojevic on game center and we can trade gem for gem!!

After trying to get a sun dragon for weeks, I finally gave up and decided to go for a rainbow. First try withe a blue fire and quake dragon... For a rainbow.... And I get a sun dragon! What the crap!?!
at random I tried a quake dragon and a air dragon & got a sun dragon. not sure how that one worked. but make sure both are at level 10 at least.
Totally by chance I bred a cold dragon and a lightning dragon and after 48 hours of breeding, I got a sun dragon. I knew it must be something special to take that long, but it was still a surprise, I never expected that. Both dragons were at least level 7 or 8 and I did not breed them at any certain time of day, it was totally random and by chance. Perhaps this will work for someone else as well.

I just got rainbow dragon by breeding bluefire/crystal :)
Am I the only one who thinks breeding a Sun or Moon dragon is just a matter of seizing the right moment? I've been able to breed a Sun Dragon twice in the same day (obviously I used all the gems I had to speed up), it was the first of the year, what a coincidence. I retried the day after with the same combination but it didn't work. I think the combination might not be that important, it is a matter of day and hour.
I got a Rainbow dragon by breeding a Swamp(left) and Firefly(right). It's in the egg right now. If you don't believe me add me on game center hand-motion

hey everyone all over the globe. i just got a sun dragon first try from a Lv8 Lava and a Lv8 Storm. My gamecentre account is kegga9876. I do gem4gem.

randomly bred a level 9 storm with a level 7 scorch, and got a sun dragon. wasn't even trying to get one, cause i was only level 14. lucky lucky lucky phew.
Got 2 moon dragons using storm x fire. Both level 10. Add me at game centre at Hui Yi 4. I do gem for gem.
Been trying since november with blue fire and crystal. Last week I tried Lvl 10 blue fire + lvl 10 storm an got it on my first try around 11:30 am. Just got an ice burg dragon a few minutes ago now all that is left is a moon dragon and a frostfire dragon. For frostfire breed lvl 10 cold + lvl 10 firefly. There's other ways but from what I have found this is the best result.
You people should try blazing( left) and storm (right) if you want a sun because I tried it for the second time and I got 48 hours and I'm guessing it's a sun
Fire and storm gave me a successful sun dragon
I tried firefly level 10 + storm level 10 at 8:08am and after 48hrs got sun ... I immediately tried again with the same 2 dragons but it was at 1pm and after 48 hours got moon ... Now I'm trying for rainbow but its not working :(

Just tried something new: firefly and cold in the normal breeding cave. Weird, right?
My bro got one by using lightning and cold on first try, though he was trying to get storm. BTW he is level 15 so you dont have to be level 20.
That's how I got a moon dragon was with cold on left and firefly on right. I was try to get a frostfire but got that instead.

Hey guys I just started breeding a level 10 bluefire and a level 10 crystal dragon. It said it would take 24 hours to breed. Any ideas of what it could be?
Mud on left blazing on right both lvl eight and got rainbow first try.
I just tried to see what'd happen withbli cold and a lightning and somehow I got a sun dragon. Not sure how that worked.

Europe has a couple time zones use that thing atop your shoulders and get a map
I just got a sun dragon, and it was by pure dumb luck. I was originally going for a quake dragon, so I bred my lvl 7 mountain dragon with my lvl 7 lightning dragon (on the epic breeding island mind you) and suddenly I saw it would take 48 hours to conceive. I sped it up with crystals and discovered the egg wih the sun logo in my hatchery. I think I was very lucky! Good luck!

I Just got leap year and sun/moon/rainbow!!!! I know I've got the leap year with fog and lava and I am getting the other from sonic and mountain but because they are all 48 hours I'm not 100% but I think it's a sun!!!! Spongegirl907 add me on game center!!!!!
It worked for me start breeding at7.00-8.00 it should work any other time it doesn't
You are very lucky!! I am a level 21 and cannot breed the sun, moon, rainbow and blue fire dragons. I have tried every possible combo numerous times. I'm wondering if my habitat and breeding island placements have anything to do with my bad luck :(.

Hi - Breeding a sun dragon for me I use fire and storm - breeding time : 1:42:59:01 Egg hatching time : 1:42:59:01 a total of 4 days to get a sun egg - it maybe different for u n the others
Sonic and stormin the epic breeding island gave me a moon dragon! Funny is that I was looking for a sun dragon and even had his habitat ready :-P

I am part of a special glitch company in NY i can give you 500 gems a day but i wont unless you give me one my gamecenter is alex5647 i bought the moon dragon and I bred leap year with seaweed and firelfly you can get rainbow with that combination too.
Moon dragon I got on my first try with ice and blue fire none of the combinations on there don't work for me tryed all of them

I agree. I produced 3 moons in a week between, 12am and 3am. Then had a Sun at 5pm. All with Flower, Fire and Poison bred to Storm on the right.

Fire + Storm work. I tried to breed it around 1:30pm PST.
It's really hard to hatch one you really need to be persistent
My guess is that try hatching or breeding between 12 - 1 pm PST or whatever

I dont have any of the ''rare'' dragons.
i have been trying for ages to get all of them, but my preffered technique of which i think has the highest chance are:
Sun: Scorch + Cold
Moon: Bluefire + Crystal
Rainbow: Seaweed + Blazing or Seaweed + Lava/Firefly
=)

Hello! I posted on March 10 having got a moon dragon with sonic storm combo! Yesterday, I got 2 sun eggs using scorch-cold combo on epic breeding island))) thx for my gems speeding up))) it definitely worked and it was midday, 10 Am uk time, now I have 'em all :D

You can get a sun dragon by breeding a cactus dragon and cold dragon and they need to be level 10
You can also get a sun dragon by breeding a storm + plant dragon together

It's actually not sun or moon it's a crystal but that combination is fine but without the earth element
And the sun and moon take 4 days 2 days to breed and 2 days to hatch try breeding blue fire and storm at 7am

Firefly+seaweed is good combination for rainbow dragon
Its true that u cannot breed rare dragons but u can breed a sun and a moon on a solar or lunar eclipse giving u an eclipse dragon go online and check when the next eclipse is going to be and just give it a try it worked for me and GOOD LUCK!

I am Level 13 so I think it's a sun or rainbow (I hope it's a sun or rainbow, lol) and at my level moon, sun, and rainbow are the only ones with 2 day breeding time. It was early in the morning, so I don't think it was a moon...any idea of what it is? I'll comment on this post when I find out. I am so excited to find out!
Ok so I am level 13 and at 7:03 a.m. EST i bred a level 5 blue fire with a level 5 storm in the breeding cave. I forced myself not to look at the time.
At 3:58 p.m. EST I got off the bus and at 4 p.m. EST I looked. The time said:

Fifteen minutes
Forty-eight seconds
I figured it's a sun or rainbow, I will comment when it's done and tell you. What do you think it is? I'm only level 13. I am so excited to find out!!!!!

Time and level are both unimportant as I learned when breeding my sun and Panlong

I got a rainbow (#2) with crystal and blue fire...It was annoying. I got my first with seaweed and firefly. all the dragons are level 10 btw
