I've been going to Zumba classes for about 5 months once a week. I got this game and LOVED it. I was having so much fun UNTIL I got to the expert classes and I HATE them!!!!!!! I don't even sweat when I do the last expert classes, I am always lost, and the moves make me feel like a fool. I was so bummed because I was doing so well and having a blast with all the other parts of the game.

I wanted to try this game because my best friend raves about it. I found the instruction great: step-by-step, and easy to follow. The music fun and made me want to move.
My problem is the faster the steps got, the more hopping and jumping around there was. I have bad knees (BOTH surgically repaired), so all the jumping around is NOT a good idea and I couldn't see a non-hopping alternative to all the steps. If it hadn't been for my physical restriction, I would've enjoyed it completely.
If you have the ability to do the dance moves without restriction, give the game a spin! If you have bad knees, skip it.
Review by T. M. Porter "Soon To Be Fit!"
I just finished my first beginners workout. It was only 20 minutes long but man did I sweat! I am probably the least coordinated person in the world but I managed to keep up with the game.
I am horribly overweight and I am tired of buying bigger clothes, but I am also very unmotivated about working out, besides being lazy as hell. So, I need something to keep my motivated to move. With Zumba, I may have found my solution.
I had fun and even when I couldn't breath I kept moving, plus there are breaks in between each segment so you can catch your breath and drink water, which you are going to need plenty of.
I have read other reviews complaining about the graphics and what not, they don't really matter to me since I am not a serious gamer and besides this is Wii people, they are not known for razor sharp graphics.
My only problem is not with the game but with my shoes, since there are a lot of side to side moves, I noticed a bit of pain from that movement. I did some research and other people recommended getting dance shoes if you are on a bare floor or dancing in your socks if you are on carpet. From what I understand there are actually shoes made especially for Zumba, so just look them up and give them a try. But, I would try the workout first and see how you feel with whatever shoes you have or with socks, before you make another investment.
All in all, I really enjoyed playing this game, yes, I know this was my first workout and I may possibly get bored after a while, but If it keeps me motivated long enough to get the weight loss process going, that is all that matters right? Besides it may just motivate me to try other things, like trying a live class or buying the Zumba DVDs.
I have a lot of weight to lose, so as long as I keep moving and sweating, I will lose weight and I think this game is a good start. So get up and get sweating, If I can do it anyone can!
