The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - a Game for Cold-Blooded Killer
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - a Game for Cold-Blooded Killer
We knew that CDProjekt planned changes and additional content for the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, but the latest issue of Game Informer is now providing some details about the nature of this adaptation, scheduled for second quarter 2012. The Witcher 2 will qualify for Enhanced Edition, will benefit from improved handling and more than four hours of additional quests involving the kidnapping of royal heirs, with locations, characters and dialogues unpublished. The magazine does not specify whether the Enhanced Edition will be launched on PC as the first game.
In late 2007, when the mode is to open worlds, a Polish studio called Red CDProjekt decided to propose a role-playing that goes against the grain of this approach libertarian, The Witcher. This relatively linear way, which does not create his avatar or off the beaten path, preferring to focus on the narrative and the player's immersion into the world of dark fantasy violent and uncompromising writer Andrzej Sapkowski . The hero, the Witcher Geralt of Riv, specializing in the eradication of evil supernatural creatures, faces resolutely modern themes (xenophobia, fanaticism, terrorism) to raise some equity party of which he does not measure the consequences that the long term.
The Witcher 2
Remember, at the end of the first component, a final cutscene reveals how Geralt managed to save the king Foltest an assassination attempt by the Witcher! This effectively gave us a teasing good taste of this suite, which the subtitle is quick sense. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will start the monarch has launched a military campaign designed to recover her two illegitimate children from a liaison with the Baroness Louisa Valletta. The barony in question intends to use these bastards to weaken the royal authority. Foltest Geralt wants; he can no longer separate, fighting by his side during the assault the castle of La Valetta. Motivated by the presence of his beloved Triss the Witcher runs willy-nilly. The seat is held pretty well, until the appearance of a dragon (out of nowhere) that separates Geralt Foltest and the rest of the attackers. The two men will then find themselves trapped. A little later, Geralt finds himself trapped in the prison of the castle.
The Witcher 2 has therefore not depleted from its predecessor, and is enriched even some nice new features: besides the opportunity to concoct their potions, there is now an option that craft is to make a object by an artisan on the basis of a scheme found or bought. In this way, we can make ourselves its equipment, which are more numerous and varied as in the previous component and may even be improved. This suite has all the characteristics of the great role-playing, and despite some flaws cited throughout this article, there is no doubt that The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is one. One may not appreciate all the guidance that have been taken (which is the case of the writer), but hard to deny the pleasure and the emotional power provided by the adventure of high quality. The game is certainly a little shorter than its predecessor (forty hours nosy), but has mostly evacuated CDProjekt round trips and unnecessary MMO type quests that boosts unduly life, but, more is, it enjoys an excellent replayability. So a must buy for any fan of the genre.
