Minecraft Pocket Edition - Addictive Mobile Game for Android and iOS
Minecraft is finally coming to mobile gaming world with Minecraft Pocket Edition name. This mobile version is still developed by Mojang AB (Aron Nieminen). Although this game is already available on Android since August last year, it needs more than 6 month to make this addictive game available for iOS powered device. At that time, Minecraft on mobile is only developed and launched exclusively for Sony Xperia PLAY that cost $6.99 with free demo version also available at that time in Android market. However, seeing that the popularity of Minecraft in mobile gaming world exceeds expectation, Mojang decided to bring the game to other Android device two months after the Sony Xperia PLAY exclusive launch. And finally the iOS version of Minecraft Pocket Edition also available not to long after the Android version released to public. The cost of this app is remains $6.99 and available to download on Apple App Store.
Minecraft Pocket Edition
Let’s get enough with the history. Minecraft Pocket Edition is actually similar as the original PC and Xbox edition. This game allows the players to build virtual realities in a new environment. However, in the latest update of this mobile game, Mojang added some of survival features, which also change the main objection of the game. Originally, the objection is to only build a virtual life, while thanks to the latest update, the goal changed to surviving from mobs by building house and other protection. What are mobs you say? Well, it is some kind of enemy, but in this game it took form as Sheep and Zombies, what an unnatural combination.
Those update is still full of bugs, especially in the multiplayer mode that supposed to be cross platform compatible that allowing Android and iOS gamer to play together. However, the next update is expected to arrive on February 16th, which is tomorrow. This update claimed to offer more groundwork for the survival mode as well as a lot of bug fixes and upgrades, allowing Survival Mode to be included. Some new object also will be added, including animals, tools, and blocks. Unfortunately, Crafting feature, which is a popular feature in PC and Xbox version, will be not included in this latest update of Minecraft Pocket Edition due to some GUI difficulties.
