If you want to get a Moon Dragon, you can read this Dragonvale Moon Dragon breeding guide! But, you must know that breeding will get a random result. But, if you follow this guide the possibility for success is bigger, because some people have tried this guide and succeed!

  1. SONIC + Storm Dragon = Moon Dragon
  2. BLUE FIRE + CRYSTAL = Moon Dragon

    Why did you have to hide the egg of the moon dragon ? How could we know if we had the right egg ? Don't you think it's inconvenient to incubate a wrong egg ? :))

      You will definatley know it's a moon dragon the egg is a soft light gray purple with a glowing crescent moon in the corner! There is no mistaking! Another way to make an educated guess but not always 100% is the breeding time for the dragons is 48 hrs or longer

      Try breeding a love dragon (R) and a mounten dragon (L) during the day it seems that sun and moon dragon may actualy have real time effects

    I got a moon by firefly and storm. They were lvl 4 it was strange. I can't get a rainbow for my life. I have been trying for weeks now with seaweed and firefly and trying to get two dragons with all elemental genes. But nothing works

    I can attest that the sonic and storm work...ive been trying with blue fire and crystal but every time was an epic fail...then finally tried sonic and storm and on the first try I get moon/ sun I'm mot sure which one yet .

    I Used The Lvl 10 Sonic and Lvl 10 Storm Dragon and got the Moon Dragon On the First Try. I Did it Right Around 2 A.M and i also used the Epic Breeding Island.

    I got all of those kinds of dragons I got the reindeer the sun the moon and the rainbow, the best chance you have of getting one is if the dragons you're breeding are both level 10 and that you've completed all the goals.

    I got a Sun Dragon From Breeding a Level 6 Blue Fire and a Level 7 Crystal, this was at 3:19 P.M. I was level 14 so YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE LEVEL 20 TO GET A RAINBOW, SUN, OR MOON ;)

    Moon:
    Storm+Crystal (night)
    Sun:

    Me and my daughter got rainbow n moon by scorch+ice / ice+scorch. The other got sun by blazing+storm. I'm on 48 hours again by ice+scorch again. Good luck!

    Wow it was strange but I was trying to breed the sonic and storm when they were level 7&8 and instead if the moon dragon I got the sun dragon. It's almost done incubating so if u want to see it my account on the game center is glimmer25

    Thanks for the tips! I was actually able to breed Sun dragon from Blue Fire + Crystal (not using special breeding island). Both of my moon dragons came from Sonic + Storm dragons.

    I am trying to breed a Blue Fire Dragon (Fire + Ice) But the program will not allow me to combine the specific combination. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you get around it? Do i have to be on a certain level before i can do this?

    i might get a sun dragon because i just tryed a level 4 cold+lightning also level 4 it was 8:23 and now it says incubate in 01:23:49:08 yayyy!! :) it might work for someone else!!

    Tried to get a moon dragon by breeding storm and sonic and wound up with another sun. Got the first sun by breeding cold and lightning. Tried to get a moon by breeding water and firefly but wound up with another firefly. Does it really matter what time you breed them? Maybe I got a sun instead of a moon because I bred them at 7 am? Anyway, will keep trying.

    I have gotten 3 Sun dragons from Blue Fire + Crystal (both are over lvl 10, 13 and 11 respectively -- I don't think it matters though). I have yet to get a moon dragon or a Rainbow dragon. Gonna keep trying though!

    I got moon dragon by breeding storm on first slot and bluefire or sonic on second slot. I tried almost all combinations but this finaly worked. I breed them at 11pm. The next morning i breed bluefire and crystal in breeding island at 9:32am and i got sun dragon on first try.

    Oh people stop complaining about getting sun when u want moon. I would take any rare dragon i don't care if it's moon and I wanted sun I keep breeding every dragon and getting a tree dragon or flower dragon or blazing or mud ect. I have fryer every combo and I got nothin.

    another combination for MOOON DRAGON can be :

    Hey if you got any question just ask, i allready got all dragons (3 Rainbow, 1 Leap Year, 2 Sun and 1 Moon)
    Best way for Moon is Crystal & Bluefire, spots don't count at all.
    Sun i got with Sonic & Storm
    and Rainbow with Firefly & Seaweed.
    It took me a long time to get all of them but it's very much about luck and don't worry if it doesn't work at the first trys. It took me about 40-50 trys to get the Moon Dragon, so jsut try :)
